CBS News journalist Lara Logan remains in hospital after she was brutally assault and sexually assaulted in Tahrir Square on the night Mubarak resigned. My questions to CBS and Lara is, are you crazy? I could not believe that CBS would place a female reporter in this situation. This sucks!
Did she get attacked because she was a woman, a white South African-born person, or just for the hell of it? You answer that so I will not be placed on a hate list.
Logan joined CBS in 2002, after a television news career that included a spell at GMTV covering the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, and is a veteran of reporting from war zones including Iraq and Kosovo.
CBS’s chief foreign affairs correspondent, Logan had previously been detained by the Egyptian military for a day, as part of the Mubarak regime’s crackdown on foreign journalists.
Logan serves on the board of the Committee to Protect Journalists, which documented 140 attacks on journalists in Egypt during the protests this month.
Well it took Some troops from the Egyptian Army to save her from these thugs.
For me, the jury is out on what the hell is going on in these third world countries. I know Egyptians who left there because of the corruption. I guess we will wait and see if that country can make it out of this low.
CBS said it will make no further comment. “Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time,” the network said in its statement. WHATEVER!!!!
For Ms. Logan, I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you get better and can overcome the terror you met in Egypt.——Paul Schrader
